89 Civic HBDX motor swap
I just bought a 89 Civic hatchback DX for $200 w/ no motor and from the same guy I could buy a 94 Civic hatchback (I don't know if it's DX, SI, etc) but I was wondering if I could swap the 94 motor into the 89 and if not, can I put a K20A motor into it? And what modifications with either motor would I have to make to motormounts, tranny, axels, wiring, etc?
Sorry for the noob question but I looked for like 2 hrs and can't find anything on swaping a K20 or 94 civic motor

if you have to ask if you can swap the dx motor into your civic.....then a k20a swap is too hard for you.....but yes the dx motor will fit...you just need to use the stock 89 motor mounts....

so true stay away from the k20. and your gona have to do the dpfi to mpfi. asuming the 94 civic is a dx.
