To all the Maryland & ATL Region guys: We ought to get together at an autocross this season for photos halfway in NC. We've got a myriad of events this year. Newcomers (to the sport) could have a great event with help from veteran drivers/ITR owners.

Any interest?

Id be down for that, we have 3-4 Rs almost every event in Atl. But that sounds fun, Id roll all you bastids in STX

Ha, ok ALMOST everyone in STX, Im not the one with the multipage write up in this months GRM . Im still pissed I missed that Atl Tour you and Scott ran.

I most likely will not be at the AK event, maybe WI though.

Stephen - who is bummed there are no Pros or Tours in Atl this year

 

I might go depending on: 1) when it is, 2) where it is and 3) if a non-ITR owner is allowed

 

i will go - and leave my itr at home.

I could get interested in something like that.

Of course ya'll are welcome to all the ATL events too. The one we're having July 4th weekend should be worth a road trip.

Well, it should involve: 2 day event, ProSolo-type (but better: drag start, bracket elimination), and cash prizes. Details still all in the works.

I can't believe fireworks will not somehow be involved.

Also, the North Carolina Autocross championship is late summer. Being a two-day event, there is some potential for a kick-down.

I agree with Matt that the NCAC (NC Autox Championship) would probably be the best opportunity for the most people. It is going to be Aug. 18-19 in Greensboro, NC.

I also think the SEDiv #3 race in ATL (4/29-30) or the ProSolo in DC (06/24-25) would be good. The only problem with those 2 events is that they are a little less social due to the competition.

Maybe a regular autocross would be the best. Set it up Matt! I'll be in no matter what!

Are you still getting those a/d/s/ speakers?

 

I am still debating. It is either the a/d/s/ 246ix all around or Focal Polyglass 165 CV1's all around. The Focals are coaxials. The a/d/s/'s can be seperated or mounted coaxially. I was thinking I could separate them up front. How did you say you mounted the tweeter in the stock location? And mount them coaxially in the rear. Also, did you say you had to drill through the door frame to mount the speakers since they have 4 holes (I think the stock baskets have 3 holes)? Hopefully, I could fit the amp and front crossovers under the front seats.

The alternate (simplest) solution would be to get the Focals and run them off of the Alpine head unit I am getting. I am leaning towards the a/d/s/'s though.
