Timing belt for LS/VTEC? B16 or B18c?
I an wondering which timing belt will work for my LS/vtec, I already have a B16 timing belt with under 5k on it. So should I use the b16 or b18c/5, which is the right length? What's everyone else using? thanks

what exactly is hte difference in ls/b20 belts? they have the same deck hieght, they use the same water pump... whats the difference?

I though they were both the same..Both have 126 teeth and both are 26mm wide and they both have the same part numbers..
To the og poster,, yeah the b18c timing belt works when using the vtec water pump..

I don't know if there is a difference, because I've never physically encountered either
I'm all about the VTEC parts
I'd assume they're the same, considering that except for the B20's bore, they're essentially the same engine.
Only difference b/w water pumps for B series are between VTEC and non VTEC pumps.

LS/VTEC
If you are using a 22 tooth water pump, use a GSR P72 timing belt.
If you are using a 19 tooth water pump, use a LS timing belt.
B16's will use a Pr3 timing belt.
If you have a LS or B20 block, I highly recommend upgrading to the Vtec Oil pump for greater oil flow.
Also to use the 22 tooth water pump to avoid cavitation at high RPM's.
Good luck!
