How to install Block Guard?
I know which side goes down, but on one side of the guard there are the letters "ADD". I was wondering if this goes on the exhaust side or the intake side. Or does it even matter? Both sides look identical.
I was also wondering if there was a special way to install it. Do you just put it in there and tap it down with a rubber mallet or something?

mine (KMS unit) was lightly tapped in with a rubber mallet, then used a punch to have it a little lower than the deck to aid in cooling the top of the sleeves (about 1/4 to 1/2" is enough) now once the guard is in, have the block honed or checked to ensure that it's not out of round. once done re-assemble.
after mine was installed the block was bored to the size of the new pistons, I have not experienced any overheating, or any drawbacks from having it installed.
