Who makes lightweight 15" Rims?
WHat are some really good light weihgt 15" Rims. I want to get rid of my MOtgei MR7 Rims, casue they are so heavy. My friend has 17's that are lighter than my 15's. Throw some ideas at me.
how much you looking to spend?
Cheap: Most 15" rotas are light around 13lbs), or the Konig Heliums (10.9lbs for 15")
Expensive: Volk makes tons of super light rims

light = modestly expensive
super light = hella expensive
super light = 8.5=12lbs
light = 12-14lbs
atleast IMO
light = $100-$150 a rim
super light = $200+ a rim (some exception, like the Konig Helium which is 10.8lbs)
5lbs does not matter...you will never notice it, so get whatever rim you want. Wheel weight is overrated and IMO for branging rights only. Yo, i've got Spoon 8.5lb rims...so what.

i wouldnt say the best, but for the price and weight, they are pretty good. some of them have structural integrity issues, c8/c10 etc, but others i/e slipstreams are pretty damn sturdy.
buddy club, kosei k1 etc are similarly priced and around the same weight.

That's pretty much what I've found as well. I like the Slipstreams just for the price/weight, and they have held up to track use well. For around $100 I haven't seen anything significantly better (disclaimer: although there probably is something out there somewhere). I know some people who run the Kosei K1's too, another relatively light, economical wheel that appears to hold up well to serious use.
Here's some info on wheel weights, including a table with statistics on a lot of popular wheels:
