stupid code 7! HELP please
Well my check engine light is on and I jumped the harness. It flashed 7 times quickly then paused. I checked what code 7 is and it seems the TPS is bad. I have a brand new edelbrock TB and I have been driving the car around for motor break in. I thought the engine light was on due to not having a cat converter until I jumped the harness today.
I have also been struggling with eratic idle and surging. I cleaned and adjusted the fast Idle control valve and the iac valve and it helped alot. I ordered a new iac today because the one I have is used and I don't trust it, anyway...
When I try to adjust the throttle blade screw to adjust RPM's (down to 850-1000 rpm's) the car runs funny and has eratic idle surging 800rpm -1300 rpms. The only way it idles is if the idle is set at 1200 rpm's (then it idle smoothly). I lower it a smiggin and the idle goes to hell. I have heard of edelbrock TB's having problems with idling and alot of problems to adjust. Can someone point me in the right direction to cure this problem. What is the voltage supposed to be of the TPS? Do I unplug my IAC with the car warm adjust my TB blade then adjust the TPS to the correct voltage?
The car is a 2000 civic cx hatch. GSR fully built turbo motor. 00 si harness with backdate to an obd1 P28 ecu

I checked the voltage of the TPS and its at 5 volts. I checked the harness that goes to the TPS and its at 3.62 volts (I thought it was supposed to be 5 volts at the harnesss) My map sensor harness read 5 volts. I tried switching the 2 connections and the car started and when I gave it gas it died. Still stumped
I adjusted the TPS in every direction and it does not budge from 5 volts
