Default Intake gasket wild idle HELP!

Can installing an intake gasket from a 92+ civic onto a 91 civic intake manifold cause irratic idle? Because the manifolds are slightly different where the water flows throw. For example the 92+ is circular (round) and the 91 manifold water thingy is kinda squared like

l l
------- <--- kinda how the 91 intake manifold looks but i used the OEM 92 + intake gasket. Is it possible that the water didn't seal correctly and goes into the intake? THis is on a D15B2 motor.

Are you leaking any antifreeze. That can cause a high idle

How about you put the right gasket on. It's 10$.

Shouldn't make a difference, as long as coolant is still getting through and flowing well.

Did you bleed the system? Could be trapped air, causing the idle to fluctuate.

Just had problems with my IM gasket, get a new OEM one that is meant to go your engine and call it a day. You don't want any vacuum or coolant leaks, especially in the intake area.

I can't believe it was the spark plugs. I changed the spark plugs and all the problems have gone away. IT could have also been that the ground wire on the thermostat housing was also loose. So one of the two.
