Fuel filter... is it one way only? Could it be backwards?

The R does NOT need aftermarket ignition or spark plug wires...and in fact most setups will give you little problems here and there. Return those back to stock, and if it still doesn't work, I don't know...

I don't recall, but I believe you may have to leave the key on to bring fuel back up to the filter. Did you just try & start it right away, or did you leave the key in the "on" position to allow the pump to refil the filter & push fuel all the way to the injectors?

I'd re-examine the fuel filter install immediately.

There's only one way to put teh fuel filter on...

Ok here's all the things in which I have done to troubleshoot it but all has failed...

I check the spark plug wires to make sure that there are sparks and sure enuf there is.

I checked teh new fuel filter to see if there is any gas in there and yes there is also

I checked teh ground for the transmission and yes there is too

I then checked the alternator and everything is connected ( I removed this also to install aem power pulley)

I checked teh starter and everything is also properly connected.

I checked my battery and everyting is fine ( I moved teh battery to teh trunk also)

The reason why i did teh ignition upgrade was b/c my friend gave it it to me...

My radio works fine all electrical on my car works fine... The car will turn when i try to crank it but it won;t start... I am stumped... please help...

maybe your friend gave you the msd 'cause it sucks? Actually - I don't remember if the msd is adjustable to 4/6/8 cylinders or not...if it's like a tach that is adjustable, you better make sure you've got it set right or it won't allow spark to flow at the proper time to fire the car.

jmho - I'd take the damn msd off anyway - you don't need it.

Have you checked to see if you have spark at all? Pull a plug and put it in the plug wire. lay it on the valve cover nut (or anywhere so i can ground out) and see if you get a spark from the plug. This will help you debug the problem a little more.

Is your fuel pump running? Do your injectors get power/signal? Have you checkt he injector fuse (I think there is one in the fuse panel under the hood by the battery, but i've been known to be wrong.)

"how do i check if the fuel pump is running what about the injectors"

Fuel pressure gauge

"how do i check if the starter teeth is grabbing the flywheel"

Don't know. Maybe pull the starter and examine the teeth.

If the crankshaft is turning, then the teeth are grabbing.

If the fuel pump is working you will hear a mechanical "buzzing" for the first 5 sec once the key is put to "ON" (but dont turn it all the way to start) and after that there should be a high pitched whistle sound (once the motor is runniing)...real hard to hear with interior in, but DAMN is it loud without it!!

It would seem to be fuel or spark for sure.. maybe pull an injector out and crank it..will it squirt out fuel?

If your getting fuel to the fuel filter the pump is working. Since you are getting a spark at the plugs then its a fuel problem, no gas getting to the spark. Try another fuel filter, that one could be defective. What about any fuel pressure regulator being used. Did you crimp the fuel line when you remove the old fuel filter and forgot to uncrimp it? I would go back and look over everything you did related to the fuel.
