Start by leaving the "s" off the end of the word "Header" unless you're actually installing more than one and if thats the case.....you're on your own.
To answer your question, you do it from the bottom. You just have to kind of work and manuver it up there. I'd suggest starting with the header laying on it's side andtry to get the flange above your AC compressor first and then keep working at it until you get the whole thing up into place. Its not hard, just takes a little bit of effort.

Yo what I did was, I took out the radiator and the fans...more room to work with. Start from the bottom up...take off the cross member( 2-4 bolts), put the header at an angle and I believe thats about it. LOTS OF WORK.

it took me 4 hours to put mine on but i have a 95 ls so i dont know if its tighter for you but it was tight as hell to get mine in good luck to let it stress you out
well i've given up for the for today.. there is no way its going in with the cross member.
Remember people.. this is a 92 integra DA chassis.
If there is anyone with a 90-93 teg that has put a 4-1 or 4-2-1 1 piece header in their car..
please tell me how to do it!!! thanks
*Right now I just finished removing and the radiator. I still dont have enough room. the top of the header will still not clear the cross member.

so you went from a 4-2-1 2 piece, to 4-2-1 1 piece? I hope youre not expecting a huge gain.... 2.5" collector is the way to go
he said he went from a crappy 4-2-1 2 piece to a dc sport 4-2-1 1 piece so i dont know what the first brand was but i hope hes not expecting major gains
Unless his "Crappy" one had a leak somewhere, i highly doubt he'll have any gains. only difference is quality, not design! (unlikely atleast)
I recently put a "Megan" stainless 4-2-1 2 piece on my 91 Teg w/ a B16A swap. I was running the stock B18A manifold until I figured out how to put a header on it and got the VTEC going. OBD0 VTEC requires 2 O2 sensors. I bought a header for a 91 Integra B18A an welded an extra bung on the header for the 2nd O2 sensor. I pulled the bracket off that supports the A/C lines to the radiator support and installed the upper piece from the top. I had plenty of room. I had it on ramps, the lower piece was easy too, from underneath. The only problem with this setup is the header is longer than necessary due to its intended application on a B18A with a taller deck height, so it hangs down more than it should. I have already "clearanced" it on a big dip down the road from my house.
Yeah, I pulled the radiator and fan, then dropped the crossmember, and the header slid right up from underneath the car. Took about two hours to get everything bolted up, and working.
I am going to take off the crossmember.. its the only way.
also, the header was ****!.. some POS 4-2-1 piece with all the gaskets shot completely. the quality was crap. it was on the car when i bought it. I was told the DC Header had a 2.5 inch collector, but I guess it was my fault for not doing more checking on it. I just got a great deal so it doesnt bother me too much.
and no i really am not expecting huge gains.. just wanted a better quality header that flowed a little better.. ill take pics of the "crappy" header tomorrow and you'll all see how crappy it is.
how do i take off the cross member? is it just 4 bolts? the 2 big bolts on each side of the cross member? or are there other bolts that need to be taken out?

i dunno about those g2's man. Ive swapped a few g3 headers and they take some trickery to get em in, but ive never removed a the fan or anything... and these are 1 piece headers too! Just did mine the other day actually... if youre under the car (on a lift preferably) its pretty easy. Hope it goes well!

ya well im assuming the G3's must have a little more clearance.. there is just not enough room.. ive wiggled, tried different angles, etc... it wont go in with the cross member

will just take out the 2 bolts on each side and the one piece that hold the front crossmember to the back to drop in down. And I recommend get a fullrace traction bar because it has hella clearance. My bro got one on has 91 integra gs
the crossmember drops with 4 bolts. You should have enough clearance to intall your header without disconnecting the radius rods, but if you don't have enough clearance, the radius rods come off with two bolts on each one, connected to the lower control arm. Also, on most DA's, there is a bar that connects the front crossmember to the back, which is near your rack an pinion. That bar comes off by taking the bolts out front and back. Hope this helps. Let me know if you run into any more problems.
DONE!!! Finally.. cross member removed on the drivers side, header went in perfectly.
oh ya. also got to drill out a few broker header studs and put in some new bolts!!! hell ya.. so proud of that job.
