need help on intake pipe design
ok, i will recieve my GruppeM intake in a couple of days for my R. i would like to fabricate a custom intake pipe for it ot extract ever possible hp i can get. i was wondering if yall knew the best design for the pipe. what will give me the best numbers, a j's style whale's ***** pipe, arc power chamber style, or a custom. i just need some help on the design. i would also like to coat the pipe once fabricated. what would yall suggest? ceramic maybe? what will be the best heat resisting coating. please dont flame, i knw its pretty pointless to do what im doing i would just really like to see if i could fabricate a useful intake pipe with the help of you guys.

carbon fiber will be the most resistant to heat. Just make a mold of the design and lay out the cf and your good to go. You could probably get a company like composites fab to make something for you.
As for the design of the pipe, it's hard to say. The GruppeM intake was created and designed to work with the stock pipe so changing that my have a negative effect.

o ok. i might give gruppem an email and ask their oppinion, to see if they thinnk i could get any more power out of it.
