Default Eek! Rad. Fan!

I was changing my coolent today (it was a nice day out ) and when I went to warm up my engine and wait for the fans to click on twice... Well... they never turned on!! However my engine temp did seem to stay where it needed to be I believe. This is really odd and got me confused as hell! I went out and drove it after I put a little more fluid in it and 15 minutes later when I came back I popped the hood and the fans were still off.. I'm like, ok I'll give it 5 minutes. So I grabbed a chair and watched the fans just sit there doing nothing! What the hell! My car is cooled magicly! In Vas Flam! WHAT!! I'm confused.. Do the fans only turn on when I'm driving? I've never had a cooling problem yet and the temp still seems normal. Whats going on?? Thanks!!

P.S.
When the needle is a little lower than half way up, thats normal correct?

Did the coolant this weekend too. My fans came on after 15-20 minutes of just sitting and idling.

You did flush out all possible air-bubble, right? Just follow the owner's manual instruction and you're good too go.

After you fill the radiator, leave the cap off and have someone start and rev the engine to about 3k RPMs. After holding it there for a few minutes the thermostat will open and your coolant will circulate. The fans don't have a need to come on while moving that often b/c the rush of air from driving is doing fine flowing through the radiator w/o any help. The fans will come on if you leave it parked and running for 15-20 mins on most Honda's i've seen.
