I brought my car in because it wouldnt go into reverse. They order the snycro pack and nessasary stuff to fix it. I call yesterday and they said they put it all back together and it wont go into reverse. They again today they said they tore it back apart and they dont know whats wrong. They have had it for 28 days and cant fix something that should be easy. I am so pissed. I guess I am just venting, but isnt this rediculous?

Does this mean they will install a whole new tranny now?

 

you know what you could do now, is after they do it one more time, according to federal law, they must replace your car if asked by the owner i believe, so you can take all your parts off, and demand a new car, cuz its a LEMON, im pretty sure on this

 

its a 98 Type R what are they gonna do shake the DC2 tree and see if one has been sitting around the warehouse for a while

Lemon law in Florida Also applies only to the First owner. in the form you mention.

and the car has to be fixed for the Same problem withen a certain time frame, and the car has never been givin back so its not been fixed so this whole Ordeal only counts as one visit.

Trust me Acura will pay the 1300 to replace the whole tranny than try some magical lemon law procedure on a Ultra Rare 98 car.

That same problem happend to my 2000 R - I drove like 60 miles then when I got home it wouldn't go in reverse. They said the 5th gear sleeve was bent - 2nd and 3rd where gone too. They are waiting for my new tranny hopefully FRIDAY! I saw the car tonight - 1 Spoon Type R - minus Tranny = not very happy owner. I hate the peace of **** 2002 4door civic they gave me too. Sorry venting as well. I hate the dealer they are idiots . I was looking @ the car & the general manger ran up huffing and puffing about insurance issues. Blah blah blah.... It's my car dumb *** - Plus i wanted to make sure they didn't do any damage to the car.

The best was when i returned my car to the dealership cause it had a broken axle. Half the reason i brought it there was to see what they would say. lol....."They like do you race." Im like ummmm no ( the car had drag radials on it). "Is there any tranny mods?" Im like ummmm no (ACT clutch chillin)......"I dont think we can warrantee this one" My response...nah ididnt think ya could....lol

 

you are lucky its only been 28 days, the dealer had my car for 5 weeks when i bent my valves, they said it would be 2 weeks at the most

 

Good news, The dealer finally figured out the problem. It is a bent shifter fork. They were putting it back together when I was there earlier, and I should have it back tommorrow! Ryan

 

Nice... Acura had my car for 2 months to the day. I droped it off on Jan. 22nd and picked it up last friday, March 22nd. And get this, the tranny is fucked up now, so i have to bring it back tomorrow and they will probably have it for another week or so. grrr.... Plus they have to get all the damn over spray off the car that the dealership so nicely sprayed on my car for me
