Default new front crossmember

Just saw an ad somewhere, in one of the mag's that someone (how do you like my specific's?) makes a front crossmember that free's up something like 8 inches for room for a turbo....

Has anyone researched this... if so i would like to know the info...

thanks

Might be the Z10 unit or place racing or MB. I would venture a guess to say that it is the Z10 front crossmember. Check them out at http://www.z10eng.com

The bar you are referring to is from Place Racing

Hit them up and see what its about, but it basically moves the motor so you have more room for AC, turbo, radiator or anything else...

The motor doesn't move unless the position of the motor mounts change. What the crossmembers do is free up more room for using a half sized radiator and for a larger downpipe or header.

While we are at it- has anyone ever used the MB crossmember? It is $200! cheaper than the Z10 and uses more expensive chromemoly for the crossmember as opposed to Z10s steel.

Thanks
Ben

I would like to know too. I am saving up for a Z10 but is the other one is strong and works well I may get that instead. The one thing I wonder about is why it says on there site that crossmeber is for off road only (racing)? As long as it isn't as shitty as place racing peice of junk I may be up for it.

I called Manta Ray (which sells the MB) and they didn't have much constructive to say about the difference between the MB and the Z10. They said it "didn't compare" but the only difference that I heard was the steel vs. chromemoly. All that means to me is that I have to get somebody to TIG weld in my front mount as opposed to me MIG welding it in.
I called MBs #, but the one they have listed on their site has been disconnected.
