Pistons for my GSR

If you have the money, go with CP pistons. They are the nicest pistons that I have ever seen, and are available in several different compression ratios depending on your build. Also, some of the sponsors will have good deals on them if you keep your eye out for them. Good luck.

i would go with some p30 pistons higher compression than itr's
you can pick some up pretty inexpensive too.

I just want to know what pistons that will be best for a all motor GSR? I will probaly go with Skunk2 cams, valve springs, valves, and retainers. Just trying to get some more horses out of the GSR. Might get some ITBS or make a set.
well if you want to make more power out of your GSR tuneing is the key..you can have all those aftermarket mods and your car will still run like crap. once you start thinking about getting all those internals done you better have a good fule management plan. I bought some SRP pistions on ebay for pretty cheap 425$ 11.3:1 compression ratio on a GSR head. and i think its 12.1:1 on a Type R or b16 head. haven't had the chance to put them in yet because i can't affored to have my car out of commission for that amount of time. school and work. but yeah. tuneing man...really look in to that!

the standard bore size is 81mm
but i would suggest P30 pistons because they will give you a slightly higher compression than itr, but not as high as the ctr pistons

and will skyrocket your compression. Search the all motor forum for why, I can't remember, but all the compression calculators online are wrong. Your actualy compression will be at/near 13-1 IIRC

not true, your compression will not even be above 12:1, most compression calculators are in the general correct area of compression plus or minus a few points
