not sure if this is the right way but my friend did the same **** haha. he used a jack to compress the arm up which forced the axle to slide in but at the same time twisting it around. i dunno if thats the proper way tho but it did work tho.

Did it pop out of the tranny side or from the wheel? I guess either way, you just have to pop it back in. And I'm sure you didn't break anything, since they just pop in and out, but check the tranny seal to see if it's torn. And make sure you add more MTF, since I'm sure plenty has leaked out.

it poped out of the tranny side and the seal is still intact, it only partially poped out going to give the jack a try

You'll find it alot easier if you take the boot off the joint. You need to be careful because the 3 donut bearings on the shaft side can move inwards towards the shaft to the point where they will not slide back into the joint, and you may cause damage trying to force it. When lined up it should slide in with very little effort.

Best way is to jack the assembly up until it's level, line it up, then use your fingers to slide the donut bearings outwards until they line up with the slots in the joint. It will be very messy, but is better than ******* the joint up!

A picture would make this make alot more sense, but I can't find one!!
