Default swaybar coating

does anyone know what the coating on swaybars is? i have a rusted neuspeed one, and i was wondering if i could polish it, but i dont know if the coating helps with the structure of it. Its a rubbery compound so i think it might, TIA

ask neuspeed, but most sway bars are powdercoated; not painted.

purely aesthetic. its not going to affect the function of it, except right where the bushing is, if its so bad the bar cant freely rotate. i suppose you could coat with teflon tape if needed.
