who elses car has the cold morning shakes
ive got a b16 with hasport mounts and when its cold i mean like 30 degrees or less and the car isnt fully warmed up yet and ots idleing at like 1800 the car vibrates i can hear it from the center consoul to the door panels and rear peices but on a nice 70 degree day the motor warms up in 2 seconds and its idleing a little under 1000 my car is practicly vibration free anybody else suffer from cold day vibrations.
You know it man.. cold weather makes my car rattle like crazy. (It has to do with the way the plastic contracts/expands due to temperature changes). Ever since the cooler weather came into town, my pass side door and my steering colum have set up their own little rattling rock concert.
Some people on this board are using the Innovative mounts and claim no/less vibration.

Yes sir....same thing here. Hasport mounts as well.
I believe it's a sign of having solid motor mounts. A little vibration never hurt anyone.

with my cold climate up here and hasport mounts, my sunroof glass cracked for hte second time!
And having OBD0 setup doesn't help. It doesn't seem like the JDM OBD0 ECU were ment to run at cold temps...

I get them too, with no-name knock off mounts. Its bad enough in the summer when only a few things rattle, but in the winter time it get crazy.
Its one of the main reasons I don't drive my car in winter anymore. It drives me insane.

When I talk in the car it sounds like if Im talking into a fan..And now its even worse with the temp below 15 degrees in NJ at times..But it doesnt bother me,,I gave my grandmother a ride and it shook her top teeth out,,no lie..
i found changing my oil kinda helped a little. going from 10-40 to 5-30 lessened it a bit. i have mounts filled with 3m window weld though.. so its deffinetly worse in the winter no matter what.
