Go to Barnes and Noble and pick-up ( or steal if you prefer to do it that way ) a book called Maximum Boost. It has a buttload of information that will help you out and answer most, if not all, of your questions. Free Pimp C.
turbo manifold bolts to the head and distributes the exhaust from each cylinder brining them together to meet at the turbo. the turbo spins and builds presure on the opposite side sending air through the intercooler. Meanwhile the exhaust air exhales thro the downpipe and then to the catalytic converter and out the muffler ..

How turbo Chargers Work

How turbo Chargers Work
An EVO Turbo running 15lbs of boost is iffy on stock internals but an Eclipse turbo at 7-8lbs of boost is A OK trust me it's in my STOCK BB4 right now and working wonders the compressions ratio btw in a F22 is 8.8:1 which is PERFECT for boosting.
