Default H23 to H22 Swap Help, just a quick question.

I snapped the timing belt in my 95 Si (H23 Auto) and bent almost all the valves. So I just picked up a 94 H22 Auto swap and I am about to do the wiring.

I noticed both motors have a secondary runner on the intake mani so I dont have to wire for that. I also noticed both motors have a knock sensor so I dont have to wire that.

I did run the wires for the Vtec, and Vtec oil pressure. Are there any other wires I need to run other than for the internal coil?

i did the exact same sweap, my assumption is u used the h23 harness right? Thats pretty much all the wires. You may need to extend some of the wire though, its a bit tight with the h23 harness. Are you using internal or external ignition coil? With the h23 harness you must use your original h23 external coil. good luck.

Yes I used the H23 harness. My H23 was external and the H22 is internal.

Can't I just run the external coilwires to the internal coil in the H22 distributor?

if you are going to use the h23 harness IT is madatory for you to use the h23 dizzy and coil. If not then you will have to do some wire splicing to use the internal dizzy. Its recommended that you use the external coil dizzy and ignition coil. Trust me its way easier to deal with

Oh wow, I didn't know you could use the H23 distributor on a H22. Thanks I'll do that.

You dont have to use the external coil from the h23 on your h22. All you have to do is connect the two wires that normally connect to the external coil. Just cut off the connector and solder the two wires together. However, as bb4socal said the external coil setup is easier to mod down the road if you wish.
