Default h22 in a previous h23 lude.external coil now internal?

1993 preude
h22 jdm swap
car was previously a h23 car. It also had the external coil. When i installed the h22 i noticed that it had the internal coil. the first thing i did was just put the h23 dizzy back on and try to run it but i get no fuel or spark just wondering if there is a write up somewhere to convert this. thanks

I just read the post below saying to jump the black/ yellow to the yellow wire in the external coil plug.. but it still doesn't work

You might have other problems other than the dizzy. When I did my swap I just used the H23 dizzy and external coil, worked fine. There is a write up in the FAQs on doing the swap and problems afterwards.

Blue 2-pin connector behind the radio.

The one you are looking for only has two pins if you lay down in the driver side floorboard you can see it right behind the radio clipped to a metal support. it doesn't plug into any other plug. it is just plugged into a holder to keep dust out.

ok i got the spark. but no fuel. the car has sat for two years prior to h22 swap.
which wire on the main relay goes to the fuel pump? it was working barely then it altogether stopped working. i am almost 95% positive that the fuel pump is bad!

Which dizzy did you go with? You can use your internal coil dizzy if you stick a 15A fuse in the h23a's engine harness external coil plug...crossing 2 of the 3 wires, can't remember which ones though. This is what I did and it works great, it's almost as if the plug was made to have a fuse in it.

As for fuel...when you turn the key to "ON" without actually trying to start it, can you hear the fuel pump priming? Does the CEL come on for 2 seconds during this time?

If answer is no...I had the same problem. 2 possible causes at the same time. First thing I did was remove my main relay, and re-flow the solder on all the joints on the backside of it as they had fractures forming around the protruding metal joints.

Afterwards, still no 2second cycle/prime...so I searched and searched again until I realized that tiny ground wire on the h23a harness was NOT connected to the thermostat housing like it was on my h23. Attached it...car started right up, runs like a top to this very day, no more CEL or anything of the sort. That little ground wire can be the cause of many headaches...so check that first if your fuel pump/CEL aren't doing their 2second cycle and then shutting off like they should.

EDIT: You mentioned jumping the CEL service port. Is it on constant when the key is turned to the on position? Jump that service port...and if the light is still on constant, I had the same exact issue+no fuel and it turned out to be the ground mentioned above.

ok here is what i endend up doing
h23 dizzy with external coil and the p14 (h23) ecu
now the car does have the cel on for two seconds but there is no fuel, i do have the spark now and the car will run on starting fluid.
when i put the p13 ecu in the car ( leaving the h23 dizzy and external coil on) the car gets no spark and no two second fuel prime? WTF!!
the ecu they gave me has been dropped it has a good sized dent in it, so i think it is bad
ALSO IF I DO END UP NEEDING A FUEL PUMP DO I NEED TO DROP THE TANK OR CAN IT BE ACCESSED FROM THE REAR SEAT? I KNOW I COULD DO THIS IN MY EK JUST DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT THE LUDES. (1993 LUDE)
