Default Weak start up in my 5th gen lude

Sometimes when i start my car the car takes some time to crank over and start. Usually when it takes some time to start, the car makes a weak start up and i usually provide a little gas just to make sure the engine can idle.. could this be a problem with my battery or my alternator?

it could be the battery, alternator or starter. the easiest thing to do is get them measured to see if they all have power. Another thing it could be is the main relay, mine is going bad and the car will sometimes hesitate to start up.
