Default Roommate dumped my bike........

So yea... i'll make this short since i gotta head out but i'll add to it later.... long story short:

let the roommate ride the bike, kid dumped it like a retard by reeming on the front brake while turning.

damage: exhaust, brake lever, bar ends, lower and mid fairing, rear brake lever, foot peg, slider, mirror, and that's pretty much it.

i feel bad cuz its not TERRIBLE but its enough to **** me off since i've NEVER dumped it and i keep my bike P.R.I.M.E..... and now its not exactly prime. he probably wont see why i'm making him replace some of it so i feel kinda bad for raping him for what's gonna be like 2 grand or so. but what should i do? rape him or live with sum mangled stuff? or should i sell him the bike for like $5,500-ish and try to get another bike equally good or better?

advice?

EDIT FOR MORE INFO:
got it running and starting fine

but here's a few pics of the damage (no pics of mirror, brake lever, or bar ends because i'm sure u can picture it urself)... also no pic of above fairing because he walked out into the garage and i felt bad taking pics while he was standing there....

Both of you go to whatever your local dealershipshop is and say "fix it, put it on his credit card."

Your roommate should know not to ride/drive anything he cannot afford to replace if he screws up. The second he turns the key it's his responsibility, I wouldn't feel the least bit guilty about making him pay for it.

F uck that, that ************ had better pay for that ****. His fault, he needs to return it to 100% of the way it was before he got on it. If he doesn't, take him to small claims court. You are not raping him at all, if he doesn't fully repair your bike, he is raping YOU.

EDIT: Funny how the ht filters out f u c k, but is too stupid to filter ************.

2000 to fix a bike thats not yours. or 5500 to buy a bike that will be yours with little damage. i think if he was smart enough, he would buy the bike. milking him depends on the fact if hes a jackass or someone that helps you out a lot. but if hes a good guy, dont make him pay for things that are barely damaged...cause cmon, everyone will have some slight damage of some kind on their bike, its not like your bike is a show queen is it? cause i hope not.

agreed ^^^

any damage he causes to the bike should full be fixed or replaced. i understand he's your friend and all, but asking him to replace whats broken wouldn't be considered "raping" in my book.

me and my best friend switched bikes one day with the assumption that anything that happened would be repaired by the responsible party. Nothing happened. But if i had dumped his bike, i woulda done everything possible to make it new again.

yay, at least i wont have the only ugly bike at the meet!

TOTALLY KIDDING. Man that sucks. Good luck with it all. Other then the fairings, you can get stuff for a good price, used. I replaced everything on my bike other then the plastics for about $700. Just keep your eyes peeled.

that ****** sucks though, you gonna make it to the meet????

i hate to say this and you probably don't want to hear it, but you letting him ride it in the first place at least partially makes it your fault.

yea i kno... i agree totally but it was just in a parking lot and i expected him to, since its not HIS bike, just put around on it. but bitch was mobbin the hell out of it! i knew it was going down after i saw he wasn't just puttin, i just had the feeling.

but yea, he's loaded and his parents are rich as all hell. i mean he flies home to colorado for the weekend to go snowmobiling in aspen lol so that's why i let him ride, cuz i knew he could replace whatever's broken.

i'm definately hoping he'll go for the option of buying it, i just dont want to do that unless i can get an equal or better bike for that price.

and about raping him, the only reason i'd feel bad is because for the most part they're not TERRIBLE damages, but its just that i babied the hell out of the bike to keep it from getting any kind of damage and i dont want all my carefullness to go to crap all because of him, so i probably will make him replace everything.

glad i can help out with the mangled bike cause haha

but yea, i was thinking the same. i was just searching on craigslist and there's 2 600rr's on there for $6,000 with practically no miles on them. i've never ridden one tho, how's the power compared to the 929? just checking out the specs and wutnot the 600rr only claims 117 while the 929rr claims 150..... and i dont want to step down too much cuz well, the 929 is good fun haha but i guess its still an insane amount of power considering how light 600rr's are

oh hah for some reason i thought you were on a F4i lol. If you wanna check out an RR, maybe i'll let you take mine around the lot

Not sure how it compared the the 929. The bike kicks ***, but i dont have much else to compare other then my other bikes i've had ... and the few bikes i've ridden to try out.

Better be at the meet yo!

o i'm at it for sure! this girl i'm kinda hangin out is coming up that weekend and i guess its her b-day and she's all like "oooo ur hangin out with ME on sat, not goin riding!" and i was just like "ummm....yea.... i'm pretty sure that's not happening, i'll be gone till dark that day" i mean, its not every day we actually get this huge of a HT turn out ;o)

everybody thinks its an f4i ever since i took the stickers off the tail. makes for good times when people try and show out on the highway tho thinking its only a 600 i might just hafta putz urs around the parking lot.... perhaps i'll even dump it while i go around corners then we can be matching

UPDATE:

roommate just got home after being gone all day and i haven't talked to him since the 'incident':

upon walking in the door

Roommate: fuuuuuuck
Me: what?!
Roommate: $100 man... today was an expensive day
Me: $100?!?! what the hell did u buy?
Roommate: i dropped your bike
Me: ok, so what's the $100 for?
Roommate: because i have to pay you back for parts that i ruined
Me: $100?! hahaha
Roommate: is it gonna be more than that?........

yea... needless to say he's retarded and in for a rude awakening when he has to buy my right lower and mid fairing, possibly new exhaust, foot peg, mirror, brake lever, yea.... i think that might be a weeeee bit more $ than $100
Me:
Roommate:

$100. Is your roommate retarded. A bicycle would cost more to fix than that. Either way thats a shitty ordeal. I will end my post by saying....Live and Learn

quick bit of advice cuz i'm trippin at the moment....

after it went down, i tried starting it and it wasn't happening. SOOOOOO... after 6 or 7 attempts of compression starting, it finally got running. i cruised around for about 20 minutes and then let it idle for another 15-20, then shut it off and went to start it and the battery doesn't have enough juice to start it, not even enough to honk the horn... any advice for this kid?

i'm gonna try to charge it tomorrow and ride around a while and see if it holds a charge, but for now, i'm scared lol

Let this be a lesson. Noone gets on my bike unless I know with 100% CERTAINTY, that if they drop or wreck it, they can replace whatever the f u c k up.

ok after reading more of your comments, your roommate sounds like a dick. if anybody rides my bike hard around a parking lot thinking hes the **** and ends up dropping it, ill probably rape his dumb *** too. AND he thinks the damage is only 100? oh what an idiot.

yea, well i mean he's a nice guy and all, i just didn't realize he was retarded and didn't respect people's **** or think to realize he's not exactly a P.R.O.fessional when it comes to riding.
and yea... he's basically bike-tarded.

SO.... on to more important things....

1) re-paint the bike and use the same fairings and just sand out the scratched and flat spots...OR...buy new stock fairings and keepthe same scheme?

2) what bolt/slip on exhaust should i go with when i make him buy me a new one?

ahhahahaha 4-age...I like that.

DUDE yeah I remember looking at your pictures a few days ago, this really sucks. Honestly, I would make my "friend" pay for all the damages just like everyone else would...

That is really shitty and hope everything works out.

really depends on how lenient you want to be. if you're **** about it, you should have him buy you brand new fairings. plus they come pre-painted anyways. as for exhaust, i'd go with akrapovic, but thats just me.

hondas should stick with two brothers. it just sounds and performs the best. if i were you i would get the same one, maybe in a different finish, or one thats higher ranked.
