first thing is to find out of the tranny failed due to a known issue (secondary shaft lubrication failure) and if it did, Honda should pick up the entire tab on replacement.

join the club of avvorc V6 owners who have had trans failure...........

my dad took it to honda and all they told him is that the tranny is shot...you think they could be avoiding telling him this so that he has to buy a new tranny? Anyways back on topic of the transmission companies. Does anybody know any companies that sell trannies for this car?

Was the car taken in for the recall? There should have been an extra cooling line added. If it has not been abused, and the maintenance was done, Honda should make it right.

before you do anything you need to find out if the trans failed due to secondary shaft failure caused by insufficient lubrication. IF it failed due to that Honda should pay for the replacement you need to talk to your HOnda Area Manager as a transmission should not fail with only 50K on it.
