Does anyone have a diagram on how to put a timing belt on a 1990 2.1litre Honda Prelude.....Thanks josh351

 

i had to replace the timing belt on my 2.1 and as far as i can remember all you need to do is take the cover off, put pins in the cams, and swap the belts. there may be more to it but it was a long time ago that i had to do this. it isn't a diagram but hopefully it helps.

 

if the cruise control gets in your way, just loosen the two bolts and move it temporarily. don't worry about disconnecting the cables.

 

Its the same as any DOHC honda engine. Just look up any engine...the procedure is all the same for the most part. Im about to have to replace mine as well....ive changed them a few times on my hondas....REPLACE THE WATER PUMP WHILE YOURE AT IT!! It shouldnt take you more than an 1.5. Good Luck!
