Default Help on new N/A setup

well as you guys know on my last post I made HP 216 TQ 148, now I want to try a differnt setup, I want to get a new intake mainfold and throttlebody. Rightnow I have a stock ported intake and 74mm throttlebody, and I was thinking in getting a SKUNK2 pro series manifold with there 68MM throttlebody, and I already order the RMF header, so what do you guys think about the IM and what do you guys think would be the best manifold to get more power over the stock ported maifold?

There was a comparison of 3 manifolds around here somewhere. I believe it was the stock ported, the Skunk2, and the euro r. The skunk2 and euro r battled back and forth but I believe the euro r was the best. Those things are hard to come by though.

Yep. Research would show its not quite as bad as a lot of people would like to put it out to be. Ive had a few friends who had the mani and loved it, put down great numbers, and really didnt have a complaint. Theres just some people who hop on the "JUNK2" bandwagon. Do some research and make your decision off that.

its like buying a dc header......

peak power maybe.......midrange sucks with it, and we all know that midrange is where it counts.

I want to get the Itb's but $1700 for a set is alot is there any write up on how to make itbs or if anybody wants to make me a set I will pay for it .. and what are you guys feeling about the mahle gold series pistons? I might get those instead of the type s cause will the type s I have to buy the two types that they have , on the back of my block says A B B B for my piston setup, which means I have to buy two set of type s piston to run my block.

Im not sure about that, there was maybe a 1-2 HP difference at 3,000 RPM's if i recall the dyno chart i saw.. and i believe it was on an H22. I could be wrong though...

point being....i could have been designed better in the 2 years it took them to come out with something.

it will always be a piece of **** in my eyes. Kinda sad that a stock intake manifold is better than an aftermarket one and can retain all the stock sensors withou the bullshit reloacation that could have easily been worked onto the manifold itself with a little bit of brain power.

It's a very peaky manifold. Long runners and huge plenum = peak power. Long runners and smaller sized plenum = good torque/midrange

take it as you please. But if you are satisfied with a manifold that took 2+ years of development and push back dates and it makes peak power = to a stock manifold and comes with no install instructions....be my guest and buy it.

You don't need ITB.

Sorry, not completely directed at you but, man, there are SOOOO many honda "tuners" who just slap shyt on their car without researching. So many people waste A LOT of money because they don't plan their mods out properly.

There are much better ways to mod your car before ITB's. ITB's are the LAST thing you would want to do. Hell, I wouldn't even do them.

depends on the setup. DIY's are really cheap if you can source the parts right.

You only need to buy the A pistons and have the bores slightly honed. It will be the same for the mahle pistons.
