too heavy, too much skeegy, worse combustion quality of all b-series oem pistons.

Is that because your using them in your own motor.
You will find that with a lighter piston there will be less
stress on your rods. But in my opinion those pistons
are just to damn heavy.

Good luck with your build.

I'll say im not really a fan of that piston, but I have seen them and many other high dome pistons make awesome power in b-series.

Had them in my last b16, I liked them, they are a bit heavy.

not in a b16

I think they are a good piston for someone on a budget build or perhaps someone who wants to use all OEM parts, and for someone not looking to spend a lot on aftermarket pistons.

I'm using p30's in my b16 block, and have a GSR head that's milled 30 thou.
I myself would rather use a smaller dome piston, and take some off the
head, or block to get my desired compression.

i have a GSR with CTR pistons and Type R cams.. At first i was having problems with the motor pinging.. But after the wide band tuning it runs good. I have raced against b-series motors with bigger cams and 2.0 liters. So far the one i race i beat em.. They'll get little ahead on me 1st and 2nd gear.. but 3rd gear pulls like a champ.. and for some reason when it hits 7k rpm the motor wants to accelerate even more but i have to shift at 8500.. Its a beast 3rd and 4th gear.. Im not saying that i can beat b20s or etc. Just the one i race so far i beat.. But yeah anyway.. CTR pistons are crazy fast after CORRECT tuning.

What does it matter what I think? You don't like em? Why is that... cause you popped an engine trying to cut corners and not tuning it before running it? I hate people like you who bad mouth something cause they are so inept as to realize that you HAVE to tune the damn thing first.

Really uneven burning, a lot scoring on the exhaust side of the dome. CTRs are not a good piston, P30 or P73 is much better.

what do you guy think would be the best pistons for b20 vtec with gsr head with all skunk2 pro2 cam, gears, valves, retainers, springs, and intake manifold but with out boring the block or would it even be worth the money with no bore.

There's a company call "top line" that just started making 84 bore type R.
A friend of mine bought some, and his cars rippin. Haven't put it on the
dyno yet, but it should make some good numbers. You should look into
getting a set

Come on Joe you know I'd never run those piston's their junk.
Oh by the way thank's for the fan mail
