Default knock sensor question

I have a 94 hatchback that has a b16a2 motor I bought the car a month ago the ecu that it had in it was chipped for a turbo and was using to much fuel so I bought a oem ecu (not chipped) so when I ran the car with the new ecu the check engine lt came on and threw a code 4 knock sensor well come to find out the motor has no knock sensor but has the plug I guess the other ecu I had disabled knock sensor. Now to my question the book that i have says the knock sensor is threaded into a coolant passage so it must have been blocked off cause it doesnt leak from where it should go. Can someone help me on what I should do and is the code affecting my motor?

it isnt threaded into a coolant passage. there is a hole at the top of the deck surface below the intake. it is a bling hole so ne sealer is needed.

i dont know if the ecu will go into safe mode, but i would think that if it were kicking a knock code it would pull out a little timming.

You dont NEED a knock sensor... Honda knock sensors are useless after 4k anyway, since the normal engine noise confuses it. You will have a CEL if you are using an OEM virgin ECU and it will run perfectly fine.
