Default 650R

Any opinons on the 650R? I like the way looks a lot. I am thinking about getting one so I am looking for thoughts etc. I am into handling and enjoying far more than speed. Thanks for any educated responses.

The Kawi right?

I like it. The styling is alright (updated, but still conservative), but the extra 14cc's (up from 636) and small engine/chassis upgrades seem really nice as well. (lighter, more compact, etc)

It's aimed to be a good learner bike, as well as capable enough of canyon carving. It's still second to the SV650, though.

I would shy away from a new model so the manufacturer has time to work at any problems with the bike.

I dont like the big hole in the torque curve that motorcyclist shows in the midrange, it's really funky.

The link on BARF takes you to a summary of the RRW article.

To sum up the RRW, if you only ever ride the Ninja 650R, you'll be happy for the rest of your life.

The BARF article makes it sound like much less of a bike than the SV. Maybe I'll just buy an SV or a DUC. S2R. Thanks for the input it was definetly helpful.

SV or Duc Monster S2R?? Hahaha, opposite spectrums, huh?

What are you looking to do with a motorcycle?

Go with the SV. The money you save you can throw towards upgrades. You'll never be able to wipe the grin off your face after riding a twin.
