Default F'ing dash lights

For some reason my dash lights dont always come on. Usually after 15min or so they will pop on, and my headlights still work fine when my dash lights arent working. Where would I start looking for the problem?

Just smack the instrument cluster hood like the rest of us do.

This thing. Goes in the steering column behind the steering wheel.

no, everything still works like it should. Mabe my problem is in the combo switch though. Sometimes I can get them to pop on if I just barely twist the **** when i've already got it in the on position. Like I kinda rock it into working. But most of the time that doesnt work. I think i'll see how much that would cost to replace. How much did it cost u?

yeah, mine used to act funky and i would have to wiggle it or tap it just a bit to get the lights to come on...then one day it stopped working completly. your best bet would be to replace it. it one of the easiest fixes you will ever do because is really straight forward. luckily for me i had another hatch shell with a working switch so the fix cost me nada

Also, check your fuse. My dash lights sometimes wont turn on and all I have to do is reach down and make sure the fuse is still fully plugged in. Usually a few wiggles of the fuse turns my lights back on.

this is such a common problem with EF's just like the door that click or make that cracking sound when you open or close them.

my cluster lights do the same thing, but i'm guessing it's just the contact points on the bulb or something cause when i smack the dash on mine they light back up.

good luck with it.....
