I ordered 2004 BMW E46 M3 Xenon D2R D2S 9006 Ballasts w/ Ignitors, PHILIPS Hid Xenon D2S bulbs, and some HID Shields for H4. Haven't received them, so cannot comment on how they function.

ALL cars with STOCK HID are 4300K. The color you see when the car is coming towards you is created by the cutoff shield.

Example:
Here's a CBR 600RR with Acura TSX retrofit projectors:

Notice how one is white and one is blue. that means that the viewer (camera) is looking at one directly at the cutoff.
Now the camera is directly in both cutoff:

This is the reason why people think they're 8000K and above.
Now here's a wallshot of the same projectors. Look at the colors on the cutoff:

See how it's pure white below the cutoff? 4300K bulbs.
The whole point to hid projectors is to get a crisp cutoff and wide area of useable light projected on the ground. why spend money on an hid kit where most of the light is shooting in in the air?
Here's what an HID KIT will never do:

Larry (littodevil) does retrofit for a price. I believe some people on here have gotten retrofit done by him. he's pretty expansive but worth every penny. he has his own machine shop in his garage lol. Price range is like ~600 dollar in just labor.

I was thinking of putting some s2k projectors, but I don't drive much at night (to spend $1000) and I do not like the look of projectors in civic headlights. Reminds me of those APC (dunno what brand) headlights.
