I have a mildly modified d16z6 (intake, header, straight pipe exhaust from header, Underdrive pulley, alternator pulley, vtec controller, AEM fuel rail and pressure regulator, rc310cc injectors, and AEM cam)
I was wondering how to tune it? and get the most HP and torque out of it, I want most of my power to hit at 4000 rpms because thats where I set my vtec at. does anyone know how many degrees i need to advance it or retarted it to make most of my power 4000rpms and up?

oh ya I also Have Nology Spark Plug Wires and a full MSD ignition system, if that helps too
I want to go dyno it and everything but I dont have the $$$ rite now
i just sorta need a area i can retard or advance my cam so it runs a little bit better
just for now at least until i get money for tuning

you got an adjustable cam gear? you might get a couple hp out of that but on a single cam it more if you had a camshaft installed and bigger things than just "bolt-ons". take your distributor and turn it toward the rear of the car. this is advancing your timing which you will probably notice more than screwing with that cam gear. happy "tuning"
