I have a b20 with gsr head with skunk2 pro2 cam, pro gears, skunk2 valves and retainers, with a skunk2 intake manifold now I was told that I need a bigger oil pump or more oil squirters is this true.

Default Re: do I need a v-tec oil pump (young O)

All 96 or newer LS, GS, RS, GSR, ITR, oil pumps are the same part #. But if you have a pre-96 lower timing cover, you will need to trim or replace with a newer lower timing cover to run the newer oil pump. Go figure, I have a 92 RS, and the 92 oil pump is $132, but the newer 96 or higher pump is $92 and is a better part.
