b16a build
All right need your guys opinion, it has been bugging me... I dunno bout the rest of you, but I am gettin spanked by these turbo neons and it is horrible, right now I am running
crx
b16
hasport shift link, mounts, header, aem hybrid intake, custom exhaust, spoon ecu, bf goodwrench drag radials
I am running bout 14.7 in the qt, which is horrible for this set up...
anyways I was going to go with the D and H head package which consists of a major port and polish, stage 2 cams, high flow valves, dual valve springs, retainers, also 68mi throttle body and ported intake mainfold. I talked to the guy who does the work for them and he said my quarter mile time should consist of 12.8 to 13.4 with this step up.. I dunno just find it hard to believe dont wanna spend all the money and not be in that range.. But what I am askin is for some advice on what to do, or if I should go with this kind of set up...
also here is my timeslip
r/t .005
60 2.372

1000 12.501

Your reaction time is bad. Practice and you can get to the low 14's.
If you want to beat turbo neons then you will need both practice and a stronger motor (ls/vtec or turbo).

Disregard that entire post right there. CRX's are easy to go fast in, I saw a a guy drive a gutted CRX with a stock B16 open header to a 13.6. A slight build on that B16 with some good cams and header, you'll be 12's no problem. Look at Il Will's motor minus the itb's. If you duplicated that setup, 12.6's I would put a gutted CRX at with a good driver.
