Default an easyier way to open a broken or disconnected hood cable *

Im a newb to hondatech and probly other forums but not new to ed and ef civics

this may or may not have been coverd in HT but i will post pics soon so this can be easyier on the mind

if you can reconnect the cable then this is not for you!

ive been doing alot of reading over the past few days and ive had this problem
found that some peoples hood cable for 88-91 crx's and civic's hatch and sedans
they tend to come disconected.
Some people say to go up take of the splash guard and go between the radiator and the headers, others say take off the bumper plastic wheel well liners ect...
put your hand up there and reconnect the cable well it can be a little difficult for some

well in the proccess of ****ing up my hood trying to get it open breaking a hinge in the proccess all trying to figure out how to open the hood with out taking the bumper off well i did found out how after screwing up my hood. but you can open your hood with out taking your bumper off lifting the car up and going from underneath or removing any grill or grills
----------------------------------
you will need :
1 need nose pliers (curverd work better) at least for me
1 Clean rag for protection of paint and for no scratches ect...
1 short pry bar or similar object
1 metal coat hanger

-----------------------------------
if you can locate the grill between the bumper and the hood (note pictures will be up soon),
you will have to bend it down a little bit with the pry bar put the rag around the pry bar to protect the paint and any scratching.
Now where to bend it back there will be a support brack that you can see directly below where the honda emblem would be under the hood towards the bumper.

Now that you have located this you will need to bend the back of the grill down(this is easy to put back to the original spot)
: : <--note this much

once youv have done this you will see a lip of sheet metal from the front of the radiator supportyou will have to bend that out towards you
: : <--this much

done with that part of it

now if you carefully look between the gap you have mad you will see the latch where the and of the cable connects to this is where your coat hanger comes in.

you will have make 180degree bend at the very tip so it can hug the trigger on the latch once you have the hook on there then pull cha ching it will open up might take bit of fiddling but still easy

this proccess took me about 5 minutes on average 5-10 saves alot more time the pull of the bumber and lifting the car up ect.... all while staying clean

anyways i would appreciate feed back good and bad i will have pictures up soon
for a better understanding

thanks
