i cant seem to get the tubes out that the rockers are on. is there a secret handshake? they wiggle but wont come out. and yes...im a bonehead. thanks.

 

nope just take your time. try some sort of lubericant like silicone if you have anything around.

 

which way should i slide them out? toward the timing belt side? which way?

 

Did you remove the oiling orifices on the distributor side of the head? They drop down into the ends of those shafts.

ok no such luck. im not seeing the bolts for the oil orfaces. theres a 10mm hex head on one side and a 4mm allen on the other but i pulled those. nothing budged. im sure im missing something totally obvious.
