Yea, you can do it as long as you have at least some good working knowledge of engines. There are LOTS of peices and parts so be sure you remember EXACTLY how you remove it and put it back on EXACTLY the way it came off... go buy yourself a book to get all of the diagrams you would ever need/want including some tips and basic instructions on how to do it (Haynes Manual ISBN: 1563924099 Chapter 2C-1). If you want to be 100% safe (which I recommend) take the new head to a good machine shop and have them plain it down for you so you don't get a leaky seal between the block and head.
Hope this helps and have fun with the project... thats what it's all about.

I'd give a friend that's worked on Honda VTEC motors some money and a 6pack and let him help you out. Do the work yourself, so you remember what to do, but have him there instructing you. Messing up a motor is an expensive mistake. Get it right the first time. There's lots of bolts, measuring, and head parts involved. Again, get someone experienced to help you out.
