Hey i am wondering what i can do to clean up the shifts on my car? i know this is not a very straight forward quesiton but its the best i can do. Like in gear you can move the shifter side to side, and its overall feel is really messy. btw car is a 98 civic, and it allready has a short sifter on it

 

 

replace the bushings...

Bushings, if you have gear gridding problems then alittle GM syncromesh will help also.

theres my sloppy shifter..nothing beats that..look..it twists ..im also changing the bushing..(saw the DYI about a week ago)

 

get some new bushings
