Default No traction caused over reved. ::worried::

Basically I over reved my motor. I dont get any traction what so ever!! I launched at 2.5k over reved in first to about 9kRPM and then shifted into 2nd really fast cause I saw it over reving but it just made things worse it went over 10kRPMs!!!

I stopped immediatly and cried...lol I took the car home and it doesnt bog it idles fine it also runs fine. But I am afraid of any damages in the long run such as a slight blown headgasket or broken seal or even bent valves.

I checked the oil seems fine.

The car is a stock bottom end B16 with CTR head and lightweigh flywheel.

Any help would deffiently cure my worriness over the motor.

Hopefully you're alright. My buddy revved his stock GSR motor over 10K he was ok. Then my other buddy shifted 3rd to 2nd and was probably between 11-12 with a built b16a and blew the **** out of it... I wouldnt worry too much if it's running fine

What ECU are you running to allow such high revs? There's a rev limiter built in for a reason. I highly doubt that your car actually rev'ed that high. What kind of a monster bling bling tach are you running?

with a ctr head I think you should be fine. You have alot stronger valve springs then the normal b16's. The head is your main concern. Just remove the valve cover look over things check your valve clearences and you should be good to go. Just a bit of advice. Get a rev limiter
