Default Building my Type R head.. SoCal

I currently have 00 Jdm ITR motor that I want to build the head. I have the complet Buddy Club spec IV, cams, cam gears, valves, ti retainers, dual valve springs, BC head gasket, ARP head studs, B&M fuel pressure regulator and S100 Hondata in a P28 ecu. What else am I missing that I would need for this setup? ie bigger injectors? Port the head? Any shops around Long Beach that can install these for a fair price?

I recommend you have a reputable machine shop go through the head. They will disassemble, degrease and inspect the head. Following inspection of the head will be a trip to the glass-bead the machine. Checking the valves/guides to see if they need replacement and whether a valve job is needed will also be on the list.

Your ITR head should be ok without porting. 310cc injectors should work well for that setup, assuming you already have I/H/E. Find a good shop in your area and go for it!

If you are going to have the head completely apart you might as well looking to getting it ported and polished depending on you budget.

RND in santa ana. There one of the few who does CNC porting which makes there work ultra consistent. There are very very few people I would let do this by hand. very few.

And I only say that because I've seen "inconsistencies" from one head to another enough to wonder when the same work is supposedly being performed
