Posted the other day about the 2-piece Shift suit. I can't find reviews of this thing ANYWHERE. For $340 you would think you can't go wrong, but I'm worried.

So I've decided to go another route. My 2 choices are the following:

I know, 2-piece vs pants...apples to oranges. My dilema is the 2-piece is not perforated leather, but it does have multiple vents and breathable patches (back of leg, crotch, arm.) Also with the 2 piece I will save a bit of money in the end. $525 for jacket and pants vs. $295 for peforated pants and $265 down the road for the jacket I want. Also, the 2 piece suit is 1.3mm-1.6 mm vs 1.2 - 1.4mm of the 2 items seperate.

Is the non-perforated 2-piece going to be MUCH hotter than the perforated???

Wow, thats exactly what I needed, thanks alot man. I might buy the shift suit now...especially if I can manage to nab that $299 deal. $299 for a 2 piece suit? Give me a freaking break!!!! Then I can have velcro professionaly sewn on and buy pucks for under $100 total and I have a track suit for under 400 bucks

 

Screw the velcro. Duct tape.

Non-perf is insanely hot, especially in the summer. Here in LA, you could sweat off five pounds just sitting at a stop light in full leathers with no perf.

read the whole thread. it was a deal that motostrano had last year. it no longer applies. but the suits are just $340 still a good deal.

 

Oh, I know it was last year.....but I think I'll be able to talk him into giving it to me. I'll keep you guys posted. They've had these suits lying around forever, I'm sure if they offered a 299 rate last year, they'd be willing to still offer it to get rid of some more of these. We shall see.

it wont happen. I got to this shop all the time. The only reason they were that cheap is that there was a sale due to them being such a new item and they wanted to introduce it to the market. Thats not the case any more, and if they were to sell them for 300 that would just cover the cost. but if you want to talk to the owner directly and convince him then good luck.

 

Hmmmm, well I'm emailing with Joe right now so we'll see.

If nothing else I found a website called supermotojunkie.com. On the motostrano check out page if you enter supermotojunkie in the coupons field you save 5%...so thats 322 now instead of 339. They also have free shipping on orders over $100.

Damn good deal.

 

Well, I guess you were right. He wouldn't budge on the price....but I still got the 5% discount.

So total was $322 including tax and shipping.

I'll post a review once I get it in....ordered it today.
