Lee - tell me more - just got an 06 Si as a daily driver. Plenty happy autocrossing the Type R on your 2812s but will probably be jonesing for some better shock control on the street. IM me,

Hey Alan,
We are working on shock valving right now for the '06 Si and I need to get some non-Si ride height info from Anthony on his car. In the first valving so-round, we have gotten rid of a bit of the car's limited harshness on bumps and we have gotten rid of some of the early turn-in understeer tendency. The car has some very intereting rear characteristics that feel much like a rear steer or a dynamic toe change that we are looking to talk to some Honda contacts about. Once you get the car turning in a pretty sharp situation in mid-corner, the rear end seems really to get a sharp oversteer feel. The rear is not sliding, it feels like self-steer issue.
Although we can custom build some pretty pricey pieces pretty for autocrossers, we are still a pretty amount of time away from having production dampers available for the public as we still have to source tooling and stampings for the front struts. The Si and non-Si aslso apprea to have some very minor spring seat differences. The rear shocks are cake although there are two different lengths based on model but the fronts are where the challenge will be.

Lee,
I agree with the rear self-steer feel on the Si. To me, form mid-corner to track out is where it can really be felt. Very much like the last gen Celica GTS. I'm thinking this is Honda's typical bushing compliance thing giving some toe changes once the car takes a set and the bushings get compressed.
I wouldn't be surprised if inside rear wheel toe out as opposed to outside rear wheel. If that's true it might be instructive to measure rear bump steer at full rebound.
Also, have you played with crash bolts on the front for more neg camber? Honda part number - 90119-SNA-305

Sold the Evo. I guess I am just a wuss. The power was sweet but did not make up for the heavy-handed handling, shifting and ride. The Si is just what I want, a Type R daily driver.
