Tower speakers with two terminals...wiring?
What does the manual for the speakers say??
What kind of speakers are these? What is the ohm rating on the speakers?
What is the ohm rating on your amplifier/receiver???
All questions that need to be answered to determine an answer...

The manual is very vague. It just says how I should place the speakers in a room. It shows how to hook the speaker up but using only one terminal set and the towers have two sets in the back so I'm pretty sure I have to hook up both sets. But here are the answers:
Advent Heritage H500 speakers made by Audiovox. 4-4" midranges and 1" soft dome tweeter. Frequency response: 35Hz-30kHz. Nominal Impedance: 4-8 ohms. Sensitivity: 89dB. Recommended Power: 10-200 watts.
Harman Kardon DPR 2005: 7-Channel power, 120 watts x 7 per channel @ <0.15% THD, 20Hz – 20kHz into 8 ohms. THD @ impedance: 0.15% @ 8 ohms
Thanks

when it says nominal impedance 4-8 ohms, its letting you know that if you hook up one set of terminals it will have an impedance of 8 ohms, both=4 ohms. your receiver puts out 120watts at 8 ohms, you're fine with doing just one set of terminals.
Even if your recevier is capable of 4ohms (most likely not, the only other impedance receivers can handle are 6ohms) you would be doubling the output of the recevier which is 240watts and is not recommended for the speaker.

If you have 2 sets of terminals on the backs of your speakers, it means they are capable of being "bi-amped" / "bi-wired" / or both. Your speakers should have come w/ "jumper" pins that connect both sets of terminals. Just hook your speaker wire up to 1 set of terminals on each speaker and call it a day.
