Default Sohc Vtec in HF what exhaust?

Hey quick question for those of you with sohc vtec swap in your hf. The exhaust has the cat on the bottom of the manifold as most of you know. Thinking back to my crx si exhaust it was different because it would bolt to the end of the dc sport header not to the cat. What should I do if I swap this motor into my hf about exhaust because I know exhaust shops here will not make one off the dc sport header without a cat all the way to the rear section. If anyone has went through this please let me know. Thanks

thats what i did with my crx. when i had the hf motor i had a cat back done. so when i swapped in the sohc vtec motor the header bolted strait up to the piping. so of course the exhaust was from header to muffler with no cat. then i just went to a muffler shop, bought a high flow cat from them and had it welded in there. you can go down there open header and have them put on a cat. they wont put on a test pipe tho.

see I have the rsr ( copy ) rear section which I LOVE. But I am just in need of the midpipe and I guess cat from a crx si and I would just install it when I put the swap in with the header. I guess that's the way it should or could be done? I just wanted to know of the easiest process.

yea you could do that. if its just the mid pipe then swap the motor in. attach the cat to the header. then just take it to a muffler shop and have them complete the rest of the piping for you.

You could get some custome piping and get the cat weld on after the header, which I did.

LoL thanks for the help guys. I am going to try to find a crx si cat from someone and then get the exhaust ran from there to the rear section. Thanks
