white smoke from exhaust
i got white smoke coming out of exhaust and i searched. i was reading it and i think it's my head gasket. do i just replace that? or do i have to change the coolant and the oil too?
About $30. I replaced mine after having the same problem, just remember to bring a pry bar to get the damn head off. A razor, some carbon cleaner, and paper towels would also be a good idea

I think what people are suggesting here is that you first change your oil and look for coolant in it...that's a sure sign of a head gasket going.
Another thing you can do is look into your radiator and see what the coolant looks like. If it looks like chocolate milk, then it has oil mixed in it and your HG is gone.
You can also check the coolant by turning the drain vavle down by the passengers side of the bottom of the radiator. twist the valve and catch the dribble of coolant in a container...be sure to refill what you take out.
Taking the head off is not a light matter, you cant just buy the gasket and pop it in...there's dozens of steps involved in getting to it, and it will require draining all the oil and coolant from the car. While you're going through the trouble you should take the opportunity to do other things like a water pump and timing belt, as well as cleaning up your intake manifold.
