Tire reviews/thoughts/experience appreciated
I drive a 96 accord sedan h22 swapped-2720lbs give or take.
After looking around and researching tires based on my budget and needs I ended up ordering: Sumitumo HTRZ's in 205/50/15.
I will be tracking the car for the WMHM6 and probably for a few test and tune runs out at gingerman as well. No scca, no itr expo
and no drag racing.
Anyone have experience with these tires? People in the S2ka. forum or w/e were raving about them.

I asked the same question here a while ago, but they were not raving about the Sumitomos:

i like yokohama es100's.
they are reasonably priced, offer a great contact patch, handle well for daily driving and the occassional rain storm.
On the track they grip well and therefore make it an all around good value at a lower cost than most tires.
Next I'd go for the falken azeni 215 or whatever they are modeled as now.
Either of these tires will be quite nice.

I've ridden on them; they're nothing great. They're cheap, but they're nowhere near as good as the best "budget performance tires" these days, like the Yokohama ES100 or the Kumho Ecsta SPT. If you're getting a budget performance tire in 205/50-15, the biggest bargain on the market right now in that size is the Dunlop Direzza DZ101, with performance similar to the ES100 but which Edge Racing has for $45/tire.
On the track, don't expect any of these tires to stick as well as the better performance tires out there, like the Falken RT-615, Hankook Z212, etc. But they'll last longer and they're cheaper.
i want to know how you got your accord to 2720. Are you a DX?
as for es100's i've used them before. I think they are a excellent street tire. On the track i don't like them very much. The sidewalls are pretty soft.

I have a 96 accord ex sedan.
no a/c
no powersteering
no cruise control
no sound deadening tar
nothing in the interior except the front seats center console and dash, and front door panels.

i'm pretty happy with the ziex 512s on my beater. even with the car pushing like a **** at the track, i managed to get it to rotate decently- once i wore/heated the hell out of the fronts so that they stuck hard enough to slide the rears
they were cheap, too, and rode reasonably well in rain and snow.

lol. thanks for the input guys. for anyone who is reading this thread and is about to post
"I HAVE ALREADY PURCHASED THE TIRES"

Not for the guy who has already purchased tires, but for everyone else:
Zeix 512s where some of the worst tires I have ever been on.
If you guys liked the ES100s, seriously try out the Cooper Zeon 2XS. Outstanding street tire and holds up VERY well at HPDE.

They're only good for my daily driver in which case I don't care about grip, but how many miles I can go before I buy my next set of tires.
