Help me decide on suspension for my DC integra..
Okay, now I'm somewhat anxious to lower my car from it's normal ride height now that springtime is getting near, and I find myself indecisive about what setup would be best for me. I'll try to list out my needs/goals as well as possible and if you notice anything I've missed or have a product to recommend, please feel free to contribute.
The car is a 98 teg that is my daily driver for going to and from school (commuter student). I like to push my car sometimes and the handling at stock is enjoyable, but I want to improve and attain a more aggressive stance for it. It will likely never see a road racing style track or auto-x event, but I'd like to keep my options open for that if I get into it. I don't plan on 'slamming' my car no matter what setup I go with, as roads are unfriendly in my area and my driveway has an extremely uneven and slanted entrance slant. I'd also like to keep my ITR style lip that just got painted to remain intact. Comfort is somewhat important, but if I have to sacrifice some then it's not that big of a deal. Cost, well let's just say I'm paying my own way through college and can't exactly afford to drop $1200 on a single mod for my car. Installation.. I've done the majority of the work on my car and my previous ride, but lack a good place to work on it at my house so I'd prefer something that is relatively easy and quick to put together.
Now to the different options I've been looking at..
-aftermarket springs with adjustable dampers (i.e. the sponsor deal on tein springs + tokico illuminas)
-sleeve coilovers with adjustable dampers <- how hard to mount springs/coilovers on shocks btw?
-full adjustable coilover/damper setup
The famed GC/Koni Yellow combo comes to mind, and I'll most likely be calling GC sometime soon if only to discuss spring rates and dampers as well as price, but it might be a little outside my reach.
Some products that have caught my eye..
Tein SS coilover/damper combo
Tokico Illumina full coilover/damper
GC/Koni Yellow
Omni Power sport full coilovers
KYB AGX adjustable dampers
Tokico Illumina adjustable dampers
Koni Yellow adjustable dampers
Eibach sportline springs
Tein S Tech springs
H&R sport springs
Any feedback/suggestions welcome. Thanks in advance.
