Does anyone work at a parts store? Shock question...
I have a 4th gen (CB7) Accord, dropped a good 3" on stockish rate coils. My front shocks are kind of dying and I wanna replace them, but I want shocks that are stronger. However, considering I'm planning on selling the car in a few months, I'll save Koni money for the next whip...
Anyways my question is, can someone compare 90-97 front shocks to 98-02 Accord/01-03 CL/TL shocks? I know someone's using them but I wanna know what the diffs are. I have sleeves in front so the spring length is a non-issue. Thanks in advance.

Without actually having the dampers in hand to see other dimensions, I looked up the Koni specs of maximum and minimum lengths.
It appears that the '90-97 Accords are about 20mm shorter in body and minimum lengths and about 40mm shorter in maximum length on the front. On the rear, the numbers are closer with the earlier car still shorter by about 13 mm in min length and 25 mm shorter in max length. I am pretty sure you can use the same front mounting fork but cannot verify. I also think the rear lower mount may be the same but don't have them to look at easily and can't recall the Dutch word that would apply to that part.
If the question is "can I put later car shocks on an earlier car?", I would say no especially if lowered. If the question was for putting early car shocks on a lowered later car, it is worth continued investigation as I have not seen anything against it thus far.
