d15b wont crank after MPFI. Piston rings?
I just did a mpfi swap in a blue EF hatch i just purchased.
the engine ran fine, i was told it had been rebuilded but it felt normal.
I used a 91 EX Intake manifil (pm6), 91 SI dizzy, 91 SI jector resistor box and a 88 teg pg7.
When i went to crank it, it turned for about a second and died.
If I crank it again it wont start unless i let it sit for a while and still it only starts for 1 second.
I've used different ECU's, checked all my grounds and swapped resistor boxes and nothing.
Yesterday I loosened one of the spark plugs to see their cond and it was dripping motor oil.
That sounds like blown rings to me but, If the were blown my car wouldn't start for a second would it??
Does anyone know what it could be? oh yeah, NO CHECK ENGINE light!
Thanx

With the plug driping with oil I bet the valve cover seals are bad around the plugs yhe oil was sitting on top of the and driped down it when you pulld it out thats hapend to me.
As for the car not starting make shure the fuel pump is working, and check for spark.
