anyone know how much horsepower i can gain by changing the stock cr from9.4:1 to 10.5:1 in my 99 civic dx(d16y7)i dont want a motor swap

 

well I have no exact numbers, but I assume your motor will still suck. IMO The y7 is just horrible. If you want more power, think about going turbo, or maybe doing a mini-me.

 

well i already have a jr superchargerand yes i was thinking mini me on top of that but i would like to know what that would do cause im only runnin 5 psi of boost and uppin the cr wold still be safe at that boost

 

why not raise the boost instead ?

yeah definately up the boost a few pounds, you can raise the compression but you need to have a good tune if you are runnin high compression and boost...the chances of detonation are much higher

 

Well i must say that you should just raise the boost.
