Default inline 6 head flange......welding suggestions....

obviously im going to bolt thins thing down before welding it....i was just curious if there is a particular way/order to weld this thing in an attempt to reduce warpage.

the flange can not be cut due to the bolt pattern on it

is it best to weld...say the top of all 6 cylinders....then the bottom...then inbetween

or weld 1 complete cylinder...then move on to another cylinder....if so....start in the middle and work out? work from the outside in?

i figure i'll do a little bit at a time to attempt to keep the heat on the flange down.

any suggestions appreciated

Joe,

I would do it top, bottom, top, bottom, etc... Let it cool and then go back and weld bottom, top, etc... and do the sides the sameway.
